Assessment for HR Compliance - 5 Things to Note:
1. Employee Handbook – document all company policies as well as work-compliant policies (such as harassment policy, right to work, at-will employment, etc.).
2. All ERISA and OSHA Posters in the common area for all employees to see.
3. Maintain sick leave documentation and other required documents (such as legal right to work in US) in a locked personnel file.
4. Worker’s Compensation Insurance is in place.
5. Proper Employee Classifications – exempt vs. non-exempt and/or part-time, full-time, seasonal.
